CHA-CHA-CHAPODAR

Que va a hacer hoy?

Chapodar, pues.

What is chapodar?

Great question.

Chopodar is more than a word, it is more than the action of chopping. Within the letters C,H,A,P,O,D,A,R are hours of sweatubg, getting blisters, and a rural Salvadoran lifestyle. The farmers that I live with do not chop, or cut - they Chapodar!

The youth group that we recently formed has expressed a desire to start working on a garden. Some would head to the store to by seeds, others might make lemonade and buy knee-pads to plant with. What did we do?

We CHAPODAR'd the hell out of the land:

Les presento a uds, Joche. This lil' 10 year old is kind of the machete. He doesn't play around.

Les presento a uds. The Twins. These guys like to lucha libre (wrestle), climb trees, and swing sharp objects.

It's bananas, B A N A N A S - this girl knows whats up.

I swear I didn't hurt him.
